Monsoon-Country is a project of The Southeast Asia Music Enterprise, a non-profit group whose goals are

• to promote public awareness of the roots music of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam
• to support the creative and economic viability of musicians, singers and other music industry professionals in the region

• to encourage cultural tolerance and understanding among the people of the region and around the world

Monsoon-Country is not a music download website. The material presented here is not of audiophile quality and should be of no interest to those intent on illegally copying recorded material. All music samples are delivered in low to medium bit-rate Windows Media format for the benefit of those using dial-up internet connections. We encourage purchasing recorded material from appropriate outlets.

Our intention is to present samples of roots music from Southeast Asia and not to intentionally infringe on any copyright laws.
